Let's discuss the style...
Our the Emily blouse was designed with comfort in mind. Cut as a relaxed loose fit, it skims beautifully, but it was important to our Creative Director, Judie, that it wasn't too full, so it could still be tucked into a waistband. No one wants excess material adding width to a waistline and creating an unflattering shape!
The flattering v-neck and frills add a softness to the design and give it an appealing feminine feel, and as these blouses are pure silk, they are light as a feather to wear and so soft on the skin you will want one in every cut, colour and pattern.
But what about the flattering features...
We love a the mother of pearl effect button as they add a touch of understated luxury, and elevate what can be a humble everyday garment from drab to fab.
Now we know upper arms are a notoriously tricky area for some, and summer can become an utter nightmare; do you layer? will you be too hot? But with a choice of sleeve length you need never feel self conscious again.
Here at Guinea we are all about making our customers feel confident in their clothing, which is why our short sleeve version has an elasticated cuff for comfort. There is nothing worse than a constricting band around your arm in hot weather, am I right?
Don't feel that a long sleeve will be too warm though, because as we mentioned before, our blouses are pure silk and marvellously breathable in summer.
