Broken Country by Clare Leslie Hall has been recommended to us by several people, apparently there is a plot twist at the end, and we are desperate to avoid spoilers!

A hybrid of a mystery and thriller opening on a murder court case, this is an evocative read set between the mid 50s to late 1960s Dorset and seems like the perfect read as we move from the hot humid days of summer into the cosy nights of autumn.

This was a Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick as well as a Fearne Cotton Happy Place Book Club pick.

A wonderful way to lose yourself in the romance of it all, for an hour or two.

The Diplomat is a brilliant, highly addictive political thriller from Netflix focusing on the Anglo/American political relations.

Drama, action, brilliant acting, this series has it all, and now is the perfect time to catch up on previous 3 series before series 4 airs on Netflix October 15
