By 'eck….Guinea is coming to Yorkshire!

Posted in News on

From brisk cold moors to proper cups of tea. Yorkshire puddings to ale and the finest wool …Yorkshire really has the best of everything and Guinea London can’t wait to head up there in July for the Great Yorkshire Show.

For those visiting this beautiful county here at Guinea London we couldn’t resist doing a run through of fabulous places to go and share our stylist picked key pieces for that perfect day exploring this great British event and the surrounding area.  All our Tweeds are woven in Yorkshire because we think they are the best!

Sleep

Swinton Hall in Ripon, is the place for you, with both traditional and contemporary accommodation and an amazing wellness retreat and spa.

Eat & Drink

The Star Inn the City in York and the Star Inn at Harome are top spots with the Star Inn at Harome having a much deserved Michelin-Star, both are located in the most fabulous setting, with Gin selections like nothing else and with food so good we’d recommend a loose flowing midi dress for ultimate comfort! Top it off with a wool jacket like the New Ice Blue Windsor, woven exclusively for Guinea in Yorkshire.  If you’re looking for something a bit more relaxed why not try our Guinea cashmere/wool mix fur trimmed wrap which is not only elegant but hides a multitude of sins allowing for that extra glass of wine or helping of double fried chips.

Where To Be Seen

The Talbot in Malton is the super cool place to be spotted and is dog friendly. With a wonderful atmosphere and no-nonsense tasty menu with a huge choice of wines, ales and Gin... plus for added kudos it was featured in this month’s Tatler!

Yorkshire has some amazing shopping opportunities from Harvey Nichols in Leeds, to our favourites Humphrey & Tilly in the pretty market town of Thirsk, and  Wild and Westbrook in the historic city of York.

If you can’t manage any of these then get your wellies on and a trusty classic like one of our Puffer Gilets and go for a yomp on the moors... ooh and do take a photo, we’d love to see it!
